Koynanagar Dam

The Koynanagar dam was constructed and was finished in 1963. This is one such largest and widest dam built after the independence of India. The structure and designs are inspiring awe giving a picturesque view all over the city.

The dam’s spillway has six wide doors which are located in the middle of the river Sivasagar. This strong dam gives full support and a complete backup in controlling the rainstorms and floods, of the entire state. Koynanagar dam has faced and survived plenty of rainstorms and earthquakes.
